Shapes
Kora lists nine shapes. Shape changes density, ash and burn behaviour, so the same grade name does not mean the same figures.
What the list covers
Kora names nine moulds: cubes in two sizes, sticks, solid and holed hexagons, octagons, fingers, pillows, balls and domes.
Choosing
Choose by how the briquette will be used, then ask for the figures of that exact shape. Custom moulds from your drawing are discussed for long-term contracts.
What to send when you pick a shape
Tell us the shape, the grade and how the briquette is used, for example barbecue or another purpose. Ask for the report or figures for that exact shape before you compare offers. A test result on a cube says little about a hexagonal rod.
Why the figures differ by shape
A hole, a wider body or a different press changes density and ash. The test report on this site shows it: a cube and a hexagonal rod from the same grade gave quite different results.
